This doesn't solve my problem, since Preview's software is very very very slow and doesn't have the features of the Canon software, which is dramatically easier to use. You are also eligible for the Canon Upgrade Program. When I chose 'Canon MP560' it did scan the page in the scanner bed. Additionally, Canon will not be able to offer support for the scanner while being used with the VueScan software. Please keep in mind that VueScan is a third-party software, which Canon does not guarantee in any way. When you go to their Downloads page, the page will automatically download a Free (limited) version. You may also try a third-party driver interface called VueScan from Hamrick Software ( ).
